Assisted Living

I've been helping my grandparents transition into assisted living over the last week. My perception of group living has completely changed. As a matter of fact- I think I would like to move in myself. It is like living in a vacation resort. They have a large buffet breakfast every morning and they are waited on for lunch and dinner-which include soup, salad, as many side items as your heart desires, a main course, and dessert. WOW! Now I call that service. Most of us with small children don't even get to sit down to eat our meals unless it is in the car after going to a drive thru. The staff washes sheets and remakes the beds weekly. And if I haven't already sold you on these living arrangements-the residents get a free manicure and massage every month. So I ask why isn't there assisted living for families of young children? We need assistance also. We would love to be pampered and served. I am really thrilled for my grandparents as they embark on this new season of their lives. They are having a great time. I wonder if I'd cramp their style if I moved in next door to them. :)

Ha! I love it! I really think assisted living should start now! That would rock if we were all living in the same complex. Sounds like a dream come true.
