Animals gone wild....
To set up this story I need to explain that we live in a subdivision that is outside of town. It's not uncommon to see wildlife. We've had turkeys, deer, owls, groundhogs, raccoons, opossums, and skunks visit our yard a time or two. I've never lived outside of town so this animal thing is new to me. I've even started to enjoy seeing them and have been known to stop and watch for awhile but this morning's sighting was a little bizarre. I woke to find the strangest of wildlife grazing in our front yard just a few feet from our front window. I ran to get my camera because I knew it would make a fantastic photo for my post but it ran off before I could get the case open. You'll just have to take my word on this one......there stood a beautiful white and gray speckled horse. Elaina fell in love instantly and ask if we could keep it to help Daddy cut the lawn. If he comes to visit again I guess I'll have to brush up on some lasso skills.

A horse? What in the world? Where did it come from?
I wish you could have gotten that picture.
Wonderful moment!
how cool!!! are you SURE it wasn't a unicorn?? : )
Could you imagine a child asking for a horse for christmas and waking to see that in the front yard....that would take some explaining!
I actually saw the horse earlier that morning in the wee hours of barely yet daybreak. It was a few houses down and standing in the mist of the morning dawn I actually had to ask Olivia if she saw a horse too...it looked like something out of a fantasy movie, white horse, long white tail, wings...oh wait...maybe no wings, but definitely a horse!
Incredilbe! It's pretty neat how we live in the midst of our own "wildlife conservation area!"
I want to see your lasso skills!
